Florence the Dachshund, was born in Kentucky. She had brown specks and long ears. Her parents loved her very much. But they could not keep her. It was their special time together. Florence was not sure about baths at first. But she loved the snuggles after. Ariana wrapped her in a warm towel. Florence felt cozy and safe. She enjoyed the gentle rubs. Florence missed her old family sometimes, but she loved her new one. She had everything she needed and realized that family wasn’t blood. A girl comes to visit her grandmother in the village. The grandmother has a small house with a large garden behind it. There are deciduous and fruit trees in the garden. A stream flows in the back of the garden. Different birds, a hedgehog, a rabbit and a squirrel live in the garden. The girl gets to know them.

All the animals were very friendly. ‘Oh, this little piggy is so funny!’ - Juliet laughed.
