The sun was shining, and the air was clear and crisp. We talked about all of the plants, insects, and animals we saw on are adventure up the mountain. Papa was very proud that Waylon wanted to share his adventures with him. 
On are way down the mountain we laughed and played in the forest. We climbed trees and large rocks as we were hiking down. We talked about our next great adventure and how much we love each other and the playground that Mother nature has provided for us.

Just then, a little dog named Pup came over. He tilted his head and barked, “Woof! What are you doing?”

“We’re having a muddy fun time!” Bud said, splashing more mud.

Pup wagged his tail. “I want to join!”

Gus and Bud laughed. “Okay, Pup! Jump in!”

Pup jumped right into the puddle, sending mud flying. They all rolled and played until they were covered in mud from head to toe.

After a while, they decided it was time to clean up. “Let’s go back to my house,” said Gus. “We can wash off in the tub!”

When they got to Gus's house, his mom chuckled at the sight of the muddy friends. “Oh my! What happened to you three?”

“We had the best fun in the puddle!” Gus exclaimed, grinning.

His mom smiled and filled the tub with warm water. “Alright, muddy buddies, it’s bath time!”

After their bath, Gus, Bud, and Pup sat together on the porch, drying off in the sun. “That was the best day ever!” Bud said.

“Let’s do it again tomorrow!” Gus replied, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
