The Big Dream
Vasilisa
Vasilisa was a little girl who lived in a small village. She had a big dream of owning a shiny red bicycle. Every day, she would see other children riding their bicycles and wished she had one too. Her mother told her that if she helped around the house, they might be able to save enough money for the bicycle. Vasilisa was determined to make her dream come true. She decided to do her best to help her mother. She knew it would take time and effort, but she was ready for the challenge.

Vasilisa started helping her mother with small chores. She washed the dishes, swept the floors, and helped with the laundry. Her mother was very pleased with her hard work. Vasilisa felt proud of herself too. Each day, she worked a little harder, knowing she was getting closer to her dream. She even started helping her neighbors to earn a little extra money. Everyone in the village noticed how helpful and kind Vasilisa was.

One day, a surprise visitor came to their house. It was Vasilisa's aunt from the city. She had heard about Vasilisa's dream and wanted to help. She brought a small piggy bank for Vasilisa to save her money in. Vasilisa was thrilled and thanked her aunt. Her aunt also gave her some tips on how to save money. Vasilisa listened carefully and promised to follow the advice.

Months passed, and Vasilisa's piggy bank was almost full. She was very excited and couldn't wait to buy her bicycle. One morning, her mother called her into the living room. There, to her surprise, was a brand new shiny red bicycle! Vasilisa couldn't believe her eyes. Her mother explained that everyone in the village had contributed to make her dream come true. Vasilisa was overwhelmed with joy and thanked everyone.

Vasilisa took her new bicycle for its first ride. She felt like she was flying as she pedaled down the street. The wind in her hair and the sun on her face made her feel free and happy. She rode past her friends' houses, waving and smiling. Everyone cheered for her as she zoomed by. Vasilisa knew she would always remember this special day. It was the best day of her life.
