Tom was an 8-year-old boy who loved playing outdoors. He enjoyed running, jumping, and climbing, but there was one thing he was afraid of - swimming. Whenever his friends went to the pool, Tom would sit by the side and watch them splash and play in the water. He wished he could join them, but the thought of swimming made him feel scared.

One sunny day, Tom met a friendly swimming instructor at the pool. The instructor had a warm smile and kind eyes. She noticed Tom sitting by the edge and asked him if he wanted to learn how to swim. With the instructor's encouragement, Tom took his first step into the pool. The water felt cool and refreshing. Holding onto a floating board, he kicked his legs and moved through the water. With a big smile on his face, Tom knew that he had overcome his fear and learnt how to swim. From that day on, he couldn't wait to dive into the pool and make a splash!
