Nate's Busy Mind

hYPERACTIVITY

Nate was a boy with a mind full of cheer. He had lots of energy, that was clear. In class, he would fidget and squirm in his seat. His feet always tapping, he just couldn't keep. He'd run when he should walk, talk when he should wait. His friends didn't mind, but it made him late. His teacher would sigh and say, 'Nate, please sit!' But Nate's busy mind just couldn't quit.

One day, his teacher had a big plan. She said, 'Nate, we're going to help you, young man.' She talked to his parents and made a call. They met with a doctor who knew it all. The doctor listened and gave a name. ADHD was the cause of Nate's game. With a special plan, they all agreed. To help Nate focus and succeed.

Nate's teacher gave him a special seat. It helped him focus and stay off his feet. He had a timer to help him know. When to work and when to go. They gave him breaks to play and run. So he could come back and get things done. Nate's friends helped too, they were kind. They understood his busy mind.

Even with plans, Nate still had trouble. His mind was like a bursting bubble. The doctor suggested a little pill. To help Nate's body and mind be still. At first, Nate was scared and unsure. But his parents said it would help, for sure. He took the pill and felt more calm. His busy mind was now a gentle psalm.

With his new plan and little pill. Nate could focus and sit still. He did his work and played with friends. His busy mind made amends. He still had energy, that was true. But now he knew just what to do. He'd take his breaks and follow rules. Nate was now a star in school.

Nate's parents and teacher were so proud. Nate's progress was like a shining cloud. They knew it wasn't easy for him. But Nate's spirit never grew dim. They gave him love and lots of praise. For all his efforts and good days. Nate felt happy and understood. With his family and friends, life was good.
6
There were days when Nate still struggled. His mind would race and he'd feel juggled. But he remembered his plan and pill. And soon his mind would become still. He'd ask for help when things got tough. His friends and family gave him enough. Nate learned that challenges could be beat. With love, support, and a steady beat.

The school year ended with a big cheer. Nate had worked hard all through the year. He walked on stage with a bright smile. His heart was happy, his spirit agile. He got his diploma and felt so proud. His family cheered, they were so loud. Nate knew he could do anything, come what may. With love, support, and a special plan each day.
